SMARTLOG - RF enabled data logger for Automated Meter Reading AMR
RF enabled data logger for AMR, can be deployed as a stand alone unit or as part of a wider AMR (Automated Meter Reading) system.
Overview
SMARTLog is an innovative and feature rich data logger designed specifically for the water industry. It is RF enabled Data Logger can be deployed as a stand alone unit or as part of a wider AMR system.
It is capable of reading the meter, detecting leakage, backflow and tamper events. Even when positioned underground in a meter pit or boundary box, data can be quickly downloaded via a secure wireless link by a vehicle up to 75m away (when the logger is above ground).
Designed with commercial logging, AMR and leak detection in mind, SMARTLog can store data at customer specified intervals to suit specific applications; typically between 5 ‐ 30 minutes. Once deployed, SMARTLog allows users to remotely acquire the logged consumption and leakage data via radio negating the need to physically access the meter.
The SMARTLog is health and safety conscious as well as time and cost efficient. OPERATIONAL In operation the SMARTLog simply accumulates and stores the pulses from a meter or turbine and transmits this information at 2 second intervals to enable rapid drive by download speeds.
Data download is fast and efficient. A one month profile can be wirelessly downloaded in seconds, thereby significantly reducing the “per meter cost” of meter reading and effectively removing the need for estimated bills forever.
