PIT TRANSMITTER - Cost-effective, highly durable wireless RF transmitter

The Pit Transmitter is a cost-effective, easy to deploy, and highly durable wireless RF transmitter that forms part of the fixed-network data collection system. The transmitter can be used in many ways such as the monitoring of leaks, reservoir/tank levels and water consumption, to name a few.

The high-power transmitter that has been designed specifically for use in water metering pit applications. The innovative magnetic coupling antenna provides unrivalled range from underground meter pits, vaults or chambers.

OPERATIONAL The Pit Transmitter utilises a 3-wire connection to interrogate encoder output utility meters. The stored data can be sent via a Wi5 data hub.

The transmitter chirps a secure data packet every 15 minutes along with a status and unique ID address at regular intervals. Specific versions will transmit a tamper alarm in the data packet alerting the end user of the current condition.

Other information such as low battery warning, and RF signal quality is also provided on all variants. The transmitter is IP68 rated making it fully sealed and submersible, this allows the transmitter to be installed in inhospitable areas such as water meter pits or service shafts without harmful effects to performance.

Long Life
