Flexrod Fibreglass Push-Rod
A high-quality fibreglass rod in a polypropylene sleeve, wound onto a sturdy steel frame with a manual brake. It pushes a Radiodetection sonde deep into non-metallic pipes, drains and ducts so you can trace the line, find blockages or thread a draw string. Eight configurations, four rod diameters. Pick the reach and flexibility your job needs.

Two choices, one part number.
Thinner rods bend tighter for small pipes; thicker rods push further. Pick a diameter, then a length.
The everyday all-rounder, the right balance of push and flexibility for most drain and sewer tracing work.
Every configuration at a glance.
All eight Flexrod builds side by side. Additional rod lengths and thicknesses may be available on request.

What the Flexrod is for.
A push-rod does two jobs: it carries a sonde to where a locator can find it, and it feels its way along a line you cannot see.
Insert & push a sonde
Thread a Radiodetection sonde onto the rod tip and propel it along a non-metallic pipe, drain or duct so a locator can pinpoint it from the surface.
Trace the pipe path
Follow the sonde as it travels to map exactly where a buried, non-conductive line runs, and how deep it sits, before you dig.
Find the blockage
Push until the rod meets resistance, then locate that point on the surface to mark a collapse, root intrusion or blockage for excavation.
Thread draw strings
Use the rod on its own to feed a draw string or pull cable through an empty duct, ready to install services.
Fibreglass core, polypropylene skin.
The glass-fibre rod gives very good bend strength and springs back straight, while the polypropylene sleeve shrugs off abrasion and most solvents, oils and acids inside a dirty pipe. A sturdy steel frame with a manual brake keeps long rods under control as you feed them out and reel them back.
- Durable, high-visibility rod with very good bend strength
- Polypropylene sleeve resists abrasion, solvents, oils & acids
- Steel frame with a manual brake for controlled feed-out
- Male thread tip accepts Radiodetection sondes
Springy, high bend-strength core that pushes without kinking.
Smooth, chemical- and abrasion-resistant skin that glides through pipe.
Controls feed-out and holds the rod steady at working depth.

Pairs with a Radiodetection sonde.
The rod carries the sonde; the sonde emits the signal a locator follows. Thread one of these onto the Flexrod tip to suit the pipe size and depth.
Match the right Flexrod to your job.
Tell us the pipe size, the run length and the sonde you use, and RD-Palmer will supply the correct rod, connection thread and sonde as one ready-to-work kit, with local training and calibration across Malaysia.
